Radical Something- Come With Me Music Video

Here's the music video for Radical Something's song "Come With Me." The laid-back feel of the music video goes perfectly with the song's vocals. Check it out above, and be on the lookout for Radical Something's debut LP We Are Nothing, which should be out sometime in September.

Paul Basic- Daydream

Paul Basic is signed under the Pretty Lights Music Record Label, and he is a Colorado native just like Derek Vincent Smith. He and Pretty Lights have very similar music styles, which is fine by me, since Pretty Lights is one of my favorite artists out right now. Paul Basic did a sick remix of the old classic "Day Dream" by Wallace Collection. You can head on over here to check out a bio about Paul Basic.

Na Palm- Pretty Lights

Here's a chill rap track by Chicago rapper Na Palm which is great to listen to while driving. Na Palm spits rhymes over Pretty Lights' "Understand Me Now." Pretty Lights' beats flow well with Na Palm's lyrics and rapping style. Na Palm typically raps over electro songs which are normally always great, and this one is no exception.

Yelle- Safari Disco Club (Xaphoon Jones Remix Mega Edit)

Xaphoon Jones came out with a banging remix of Yelle's "Safari Disco Club." Even though the lyrics are in French the beat pretty much speaks for itself. My best suggestion for you is to turn up the bass, sit back, and enjoy.

MiM0SA- 58 Degrees

In the track 58 Degrees, MiM0SA definitely proves his goal and "takes the listener on a space age psychedelic journey of bittersweet ecstasy". He offers great a low booming bass coupled with great fast paced psychedelic notes. Take a listen:

Break It Down by Kids in the Hall (Xaphoon Jones Remix)

Xaphoon Jones is one of my favorite music producers out there right now. Pretty much everything he touches turns to gold. He just did a remix of "Break It Down" by Kids in the Hall which is amazing. Check it out below.

Global Communication- 14,31 (Sam Paginini Edit)

I found this song by Sam Paginini while browsing through soundcloud today that's great for studying to. It's kind of techno-trance and perfect to listen to when you want to hear something soothing that doesn't have any words.

Bon Iver- Holocene Music Video

BON IVER "Holocene" from nabil elderkin on Vimeo.

This is the new music video for Bon Iver's song, "Holocene". If I had to pick my favorite song from his album, this would probably be it. The video shows a young boy exploring the Icelandic outdoors, which kind of reminds me of Where the Wild Things Are. The whole video looks like it's an advertisement for Iceland's tourism board. Check it out above.

The Dean's List- Burn It All Music Video

Here's the new music video for The Dean's List "Burn It All," which is off of their mixtape The Drive-in. The video's got some great visuals that definitely do the song justice.

Matt & Kim Featuring Soulja Boy and Andrew W.K.- I'm a Goner

Matt & Kim collaborated with Soulja Boy and Andrew W.K. on their new song, called "I'm a Goner." It's got the great upbeat feel of a typical Matt & Kim song, but with a two rap verses from Soulja boy and some vocals from Andrew W.K. The White Panda- Your Woman

Here's a new track produced by White Panda which combines vocals from Dorrough’s “Ice Cream Paint Job” which the duo laid over White Town's "Your Woman" which they put their own spin on. This song is a bit different from their usual releases, but still great.

e-dubble Featuring Kom- My Last Dream

Here's a great new track from my one my favorite up and coming rappers out now, e-dubble. I love the sample used in this ("Weighty Ghost" by Wintersleep), and how catchy the chorus is. My favorite thing about e-dubble is down to earth his lyrics continue to be on each of his tracks.

Mohombi- Bumpy Ride (Chuckie Remix)

The song "Bumpy Ride" by Mohombi came out a while ago, and actually has a ton of views on youtube- 42 million- but here's a banging dubstep remix of it by Dj Chuckie. The original is great but this remix takes the song to a whole different level. Check it out and download it below.

Foster the People- Pumped Up Kicks (Skeet Skeet Remix)

Skeet Skeet might just be the strangest name for a dj that I have ever heard, however his remix of Foster the People's "Pumped Up Kicks" is my favorite version I have heard of the song. It takes the original version to a whole different level. I know this song isn't that new, but I had to post it anyway but I it's so great. The best way to listen to it is turn up the bass and play it in great speakers or in your car.

G-Eazy Mixtape- The Endless Summer

Here's the new G-Eazy mixtape called The Endless Summer, which he just released. A bunch of great artists are featured on some of the songs, and he samples awesome tracks . I love how different G-Eazy's voice is, it's kind of nasally (in a good way) and also raspy at the same time. This mixtape has a great summery feel to it and I definitely suggest you download all of the songs. My favorite tracks are "Waspy," "Endless Summer" and "All I Could Do."

White Panda- Deep in the Levels

"Rolling in the Deep" by Adele seems like its the most remixed song of 2011, and I am not about to complain about that. With so many remixes coming out, its hard to get tired of it. Here's a brand new remix of "Rolling in the Deep" combined with Avicii's "Levels" by The White Panda. These two songs mesh together perfectly. Check it out below.

Sufjan Stevens- Celebrate Brooklyn! Concert in Prospect Park, Brooklyn

Image Via: newyork.metromix.com

Last night, August 3, 2011 my sister and I went to the Sufjan Stevens concert in Prospect Park, and it was possibly one of the best shows I have ever been to. It was his last show form his Age of Adz tour. I hadn't really listened to many of the songs off of that album because they were so different from his usual work, but I bought tickets for the show anyway. I definitely was not disappointed.

The entire show kind of reminded me of Mika, because it was so bright, colorful and upbeat. Even though it rained throughout basically the whole night it was definitely worth it. My favorite performances of the evening were Vesuvius, Impossible Soul and Chicago. I saw some people leaving early, which, in my opinion, was a mistake because he did an encore performance of Concerning the UFO Sighting Near Highland, That Dress Looks Nice on You and Chicago.

Impossible Soul is a twenty-five minute long song, which started out pretty mellow but picked up the pace towards the end and was one big dancing party made complete by neon lights and big clear balloons which bounced throughout the crowd (there's a video below). Chicago was the perfect song to close the show- everyone in the crowd went ballistic and started jumping up and down and singing along. Overall, I had an amazing time and can't wait to see Sufjan in concert again!

Here are some videos I took of the concert. Sorry if they are kind of shaky:

Diggy Simmons- Music Video for Copy, Paste

I feel like I'm the only one that thinks of Run's House whenever someone mentions Diggy Simmons' name. I still think of him as really young, but after seeing this video you can definitely tell that he's growing up. It seems kind of like he's turning into a younger version of Chris Brown. Check out his new music video for the song "Copy, Paste," above.

Skizzy Mars- Tara

Here's a new track from Skizzy Mars, called "Tara." Just like his other songs he raps over an indie song, but "Tara" isn't as upbeat as what he has released in the past. Anyway, keep a look out for his mixtape, which hopefully will be out soon!
