Hoodie Allen Mixtape- Leap Year

Hoodie Allen just released his new brand new mixtape, Leap Year. Pretty much every song on it is amazing. My personal favorites are The Chase is On, You're Welcome, Sticks and Stones, and Every Time You Go. Hoodie says about his mixtape:

Bombay Bicycle Club- Shuffle Music Video

"Shuffle" by Bombay Bicycle Club is a great summer tune, and the British band just came out with the music video for it. They all look like they are having such a good time in the video. In case you didn't know, Bombay Bicycle Club is an indie band that is named after a chain of Indian restaurants from London. They remind me a lot of Two Door Cinema Club. Amy Winehouse was found dead in her house in London today. We wish her family and friends the best through this sad time. She was such an amazing artist and we will miss her.

Here's a track Pretty Lights aka Derek Vincent Smith came out with specially for his show in West Virginia. I don't really like country music at all, but the way Pretty Lights blends this song from country singer John Denver with electro is an awesome twist.

Foster the People- Helena Beat Music Video

Here's the music video for Foster the People's new single "Helena Beat." Foster the People rose to fame pretty slowly, but they finally are starting to get the recognition they deserve. The band has described the video as "Lord of the Flies meets Mad Max." While the band still hasn't quite reached full on stardom, you can tell by this big budget music video that they are getting up there.

Here's a Diplo remix of the song "Delilah" by Mavado. The song is a great update on the original. It has a cool islandy-electro feel to it. I'm not that familiar with Mavado, and I'm not normally a reggae fan, but I like this remix.

Mic Mang's New Mixtape- Been There Heard That

Mic Mang dropped his sophomore mixtape, Been There Heard That, this month. My favorite songs are Pull An All Nighter and Hello World, which samples Someone Like you by Adele. It is refreshing to hear another one of Adele's song remixed besides Rolling In Deep. This mixtape shows how Mang's lyrics are maturing and only getting better!

Here's a great remix R3K did which combines Florence + The Machine's "Cosmic Love" with Kid Cudi's "Symphonies." Cosmic Love happens to be one of my favorite songs from Florence, and I love this remix of it. This track came out a little while ago, but I just stumbled upon in recently thanks to thissongisnick.com. Here's a great mixtape from Gabriel Stark. Every song has a laid back, summer feel to it that is perfect to listen to when you just want to relax. My favorite song would probably be "Random Song That Doesn't Fit," which is a remix of the Jason Mraz song "I'm Yours." Hailing from Pittsburgh, The 58's are comprised of of PGH spitters Franchise, B. White, Vinny Radio, Ghosty, Mayo, and Primavera Vills. I'm up right now listening to their mixtape and I have to say I'm really feeling it. The 58's have an old school hip hop feel, which is my favorite style of hip hop. Not sure if this post is long over due..sorry! I like the hard lyrics coupled with the instrumentals on many of the tracks...have a listen.

Here's a brand new remix from D.veloped. It mixes Childish Gambino's "Let Me Dope You" with Adele's "Rolling in the Deep" and John Legend's cover of the song. There's also a whole bunch of other songs mixed in, including Pheonix's "Liztomania" even some of Backstreet Boy's "As Long as You Love Me."
