Rostam Batmanglij, one fourth of the indie group Vampire Weekend, recently released his song "Wood." It's not so very different from normal Vampire Weekend songs, except it has an Asian twist. I love the end of the song when the sitar becomes more pronounced (I think it's a sitar anyway). Rostam does an excellent job blending the Western sounds with eastern instruments.
